1 - card  PowerFIP description

.

The m-PowerFIP (without FullFIP2) card replaces the m-FullFIP2 card. The functionality of the FullFIP2 component (master / slave) is integrated into the Igloo2 FPGA component from Microsemi. The FIP functionalities are carried on a deterministic core soft CPU architecture based on an FPGA component. This ensures sustainability and scalability of FIP characteristics and performance (distance, speed, data transfer, low latency, etc.).

The FIP / WorldFIP functionalities are integrated in the PowerFIP librairy (formerly FIPEngine and FIPCore) to establish FIP / WorldFIP communication.

The PowerFIP card is inserted either :

.

• In an mPCIe slot, this slot is more and more present in recent systems (computers, touch screens, on-board systems, etc.), the FIP speed part being able to be easily adapted to the customer configuration (customization).
• Or on a FIP support card. To date, the FIP cards that can accommodate the mPCIe card are: mPCIe, PCI, PCIe, PXIe, XMC, VAM, other formats, contact us.
• Possibility of having the mpcie module in other formats, to have peripheral buses other than PCIe : (bus 16 bits, Wishbone, AMBA ( AHB, AXI ) co-processor FIP,
• IP module (available soon)

The card manages the bi-medium, each FIP channel on the card is equipped with the FieldTR component, the Fieldrive component and a sub-d 9.

2- Software compatibility

Exoligent regularly updates these drivers, software, DLLs running under different operating systems in order to follow the evolution of existing technologies on the market, and according to the requests of its customers.
