.

1 - Overall description

.

Robust on-board system, dedicated for railway (EN 50155), fanless.

.

Equipped with the VAM FIPWatcher card (spybus or sniffer), the system sends all the frames circulating on FIP on the Ethernet UDP network, the comfort data of the system are also included in the sent frames. It allows all FIP frames to be sent to UDP Ethernet. The system is "transparent" on the network so as not to disturb the FIP / WorldFIP network (EN50170-3). This version is uni-directional.

.

2 - Hardware section

.

The TBOX - FIP is equipped with a motherboard based on Celeron or Core I7 (optional) and a VAM FIPWatcher card.

The FIPWatcher module consists of :

  • A mPCIe card is connected to the VAM FIPWatcher card via an FFC cable.
  • A speed module equipped with one sub-d 9 FIP (for point-to-point mounting, Daisy Chain) or 2 sub-d9 FIP (1 incoming, 1 outgoing, for through mounting).

Exoligent relies on the AXIOMTEK Tbox  solution (EN50155) for the embedded system. The Tbox system is generic, it can be used for the FIPWatcher application and in parallel for other computer applications.

Other on-board systems selected by the customer or can be chosen, you can contact us to study the integration.

.

.

3 - Software section

.

The system is delivered with section FIPLabs - FIPWatcher software.

.

3-1 Operating modes

.

Very easy to use, connect to the FIP network and Ethernet network and then connect the power supply, without any configuration, FIPWatcher detects and displays the FIP frames circulating on the network.

.

.

Using a web server (Webmin for example), WEB interface for remote system administration, the user can configure the FIP UDP service, configure the system time, etc.

In industrial installations, the system sends all the FIP frames over Ethernet, by encapsulating other "comfort or life" data (from the FiPWatcher Tbox module) such as temperature, memory or processor utilization rate ...

The remote equipment receives UDP frames, to decode them several possibilities:

- Use HMI FIPLabs

- Use Wireshark dissector

- Business application (customer integration)

.

.

4 - Module included in the package

.

FIP UDP daemon service

Wireshark dissector plugin: FIP frame dissector, packet visualization, filtering tools

.

5 - Customer integration

Customers can integrate the "mcpie card + speed card" kit themselves into the on-board system of their choice, in this case this kit can be sold alone without the Tbox module. this solution is easier to manage for the customer and offers greater autonomy on the system, to install other computer programs for example or other VAM... In this case Exoligent also provides support and assistance with hardware and software installation. Exoligent can also modify the speed card for easier customer integration.
