1 - Card description

.

The MobiFIP Thunderbolt3 card uses the PowerFIP (equivalent of FullFIP2) communication controller allowing FIP WorldFIP functionalities such as the bus arbiter function, passive station, periodic, aperiodic message... The Igloo2 component serves as a communication bridge between the Thunderbolt bus and the co-processor. The card comes with PowerFIP API (no more need to enter a license key ), (for FullFIP2 contact us).

Thunderbolt3 brings the characteristics of PCI express (low latency, transfer rate) with the mobility of USB. Thunderbolt will become more and more present on PCs.

MobiFIP Thunderbolt drivers and software are the same as equipment using Exoligent FIP cards: ( PXIe, PCIe, PCIe low profile, mPCIe, XMC, PCI ), so your FIP developments using these FIP cards will also work with MobiFIP Thunderbolt with no change in your code development.

Warning: MobiFIP Thunderbolt drivers are different from MobiFIP USB.

Warning : drivers with PowerFIP and FullFIP2 are differents.

The card is dual channel. Each channel on the card is equipped with the FieldTR component, the Fieldrive ( or FIPDrive) component and a sub-d 9. Ideal for developing/testing FIP programs on laptop or for light industrial environments.

Exoligent regularly updates these drivers, software, DLLs operating under different operating systems in order to follow the evolution of existing technologies on the market, and according to the requests of its customers.
